Do you want to learn how to develop ideas, build teams, or manage companies strategically?
The Entrepreneurship Basics provide a solid, practice-oriented introduction to entrepreneurial thinking – flexible and eligible for credit in many degree programs.
You can choose courses freely. Once you have earned a total of 6 credit points, you will receive an official certificate.

What can you expect?
- Hands-on courses with real-world relevance: Learn how business ideas are developed, business models are built, and companies are strategically shaped.
- Training in entrepreneurial thinking: Strengthen skills such as creative problem-solving, effective decision-making under pressure, teamwork, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Learning with students from diverse disciplines: Different perspectives make the courses dynamic, practical, and application-oriented.
- 6 CP to earn your certificate: Once you have completed a total of 6 CP, you will receive the official Entrepreneurship Basics certificate.
With the Entrepreneurship Basics, you gain not only an official certificate that strengthens your CV, but also an entrepreneurial mindset that is equally valuable in start-ups, SMEs, and large corporations.
Who is the program for?
The program is open to all students at Saarland University who want to take responsibility, develop new perspectives, and actively shape the future.
Whether you aim to start your own venture, take on responsibility within a company, or simply learn how to identify opportunities faster and solve problems more creatively – the Entrepreneurship Basics provide a strong foundation.

Recognition & Certification
The recognition of courses within your degree program is arranged in coordination with your respective examination office – or as outlined in your program’s module handbook.
After successfully completing each course, you will receive a certificate of achievement, which you can submit to your examination office.
Once you have accumulated a total of 6 CP, you can submit your collected course certificates to us – and you will receive an official certificate.
