Triathlon is more than a traditional start-up hub – it is a dynamic ecosystem for entrepreneurship, innovation, and knowledge & technology transfer at Saarland University.
Our interdisciplinary team connects research, industry, and society, creating an inspiring environment for aspiring entrepreneurs, researchers, start-ups, and established companies.
Our goal is to successfully translate innovative ideas into practice and, in doing so, contribute to strengthening the Saarland region and Germany as a whole.

We are pioneers!
As early as 1995, Saarland University set nationwide standards with the construction of Germany’s first start-up center.
In 2013, it was recognized as one of the first EXIST start-up universities in Germany. The Innovation Center marks another important milestone.
Since then, Saarland University has consistently ranked among the top 10 in the Gründungsradar of the Stifterverband for German Science, achieving top positions multiple times.

The Saarland University campus is home to renowned research institutions and institutes, providing access to key technologies of the 21st century, such as:
