Innovation, Digital Tools, and Green Transition for Non-Academic Experts

Empowering Sustainable Workplace Practices is a certified interdisciplinary training programme designed to equip non-academic experts with practical skills to support innovation, sustainability, and resilience in their daily work. Delivered entirely in English, the course consists of four modules, each led by a different European partner university. Covering themes such as innovation ecosystems, digital tools, sustainable meeting practices, and organisational resilience.

Participants will gain a foundational understanding of innovation ecosystems and explore how university resources and processes can contribute to knowledge development. They will learn to apply digital tools for greener workflows, plan and facilitate inclusive and eco-conscious meetings, and develop strategies to adapt to change and improve workplace resilience. The course emphasizes collaboration, continuous improvement, and the alignment of everyday practices with institutional sustainability goals.

Agenda

The programme takes place in the winter semester 2025/26 and is structured into four online modules, each consisting of interactive block sessions and follow-up short quizzes. The total workload comprises 10 hours of workshop sessions (4x 2,5 hrs), complemented by brief quizzes requiring around 15 minutes each.

The programme is open to non-academic staff from all areas. It is particularly suitable for those interested in sustainability, entrepreneurship, international collaboration, management and resilience. No prior subject-specific knowledge is required – curiosity, motivation, and an openness to interdisciplinary perspectives are the main prerequisites.
